Bob Balaban plays the part of a West Hollywood doctor during S04E05, The Dream Team. Drama learns that the trucker hat he wants is sold at a local marijuana dispensary, and when he’s refused entry without a medical card, he visits Bob Balaban’s character to get one. Bob was David Laughlin in 1977’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind and played the part of NBC president Russell Dalrymple in several episodes of Seinfeld.
