Perhaps the most level-headed individual of Vince’s entourage, Eric “E” Murphy (played by Kevin Connolly) is the star’s long-time friend and, by the end of season one, his newly appointed manager. Vince relies heavily on Eric’s natural business sense and uncanny eye for potential when picking movies and making important career decisions. To become less reliant on Vince and the star’s success, Eric works toward growing his own career in later seasons by searching out additional clients, taking a job at a large talent agency, and by eventually setting up an agency of his own.
