She can be seen chatting with Turtle near the episode’s 24-minute mark, at which point she admits that his girlfriend’s Avion ads played a big part in her character’s recovery from an alcohol addiction. In 2014, Elaine Tan played the part of April in Beyond the Lights, a romantic drama written and directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood.
